I recently took my new Ford Maverick in for window tinting and had an incredible experience. The owner really took the time to explain the technical differences between the various grades of film. What really sold me was the heat lamp demonstration—he showed the actual UV protection and heat rejection of each grade in real-time. We were originally planning on a lower-grade tint, but seeing that demo made it a no-brainer to opt for the higher-grade protection. Went in for a windshield repair for a significant rock strike that immediately spiderwebbed to an inch across, that was in a difficult area towards the corner of my windshield. What I admired most was the 100% honest disclaimer this would not likely be a full repair but a repair meant to stop further progression. I have had many rock strikes and windshield replacements over the years and I knew a full repair was unlikely. The repair was done quickly and at a very fair price. The repair was much more complete than I expected. Highly recommended and will return.

Yes. Home and business film is installed at your Lake Elsinore property, not at the shop. We’ll look at the windows with you, from a lake-facing living room to an office near the freeway, and recommend a film for each job: heat and glare control, privacy, security or UV protection. The film goes on the inside of the glass.
It shouldn’t. A lighter film cuts the glare coming off the water, along with some of the heat, while the view stays clear, and some films are hard to spot once they’re on. Darker or reflective films cut more glare but change the look of the glass, and reflective film only gives privacy in daylight. We’ll go through the options at the window itself during the visit.
The rear side windows can be any shade, and so can the back window if the car has outside mirrors on both sides. The front side windows take clear, colorless UV film, which still blocks UV and turns away heat. On the windshield, only a strip across the top is allowed, its bottom edge at least 29 inches above the driver’s seat, and it can’t be red or amber. Medical exemptions exist; the details are on our tint-law page.
The Union film we fit comes with a lifetime warranty on the film, on the manufacturer’s terms. We’ll go over what it covers when you pick up your car, along with the aftercare: clean tinted glass with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and skip ammonia-based cleaners.
